Payment method

The course fees will be paid to MLC via online store, bank transfer or direct debit, taking into account the payment method chosen by the student or company at the start of the course.

Except for specific books, all teaching materials are included in the MLC course prices.

Classes will be charged during the 2 days prior to the start date of classes. Otherwise, MLC reserves the right to temporarily or permanently stop classes. In the case of direct debit payments, payments will be made between the last day of the previous month and the first day of the month in which the course will begin. The costs of bank refunds will be borne by the student and will entail a surcharge of 4 euros on the total amount of the direct debit. Bank refunds and instructions for repaying MLC any outstanding amounts will be notified to the student by email from info@mylanguagecoach.net. If a refund is made due to an error by MLC when direct debiting payments, this will be exempt from any surcharge.

Classes for a regular annual course will be taught over 10 months, taking into account public holidays (from September to June, both inclusive).

Refunds

No refund will be made for the following reasons:

  • Delay in the start time of classes, absence or need to finish a class before the scheduled time by the student.
  • Voluntary withdrawal of the student once the course has started.

Cancellations

Any changes in class modality, withdrawal by the student, planned or unplanned trips and any other changes that affect the student’s participation in their regular classes must be communicated before the 25th of the previous month.

Individual and group classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be considered as completed and, consequently, will not be recovered or refunded. In case the class is scheduled for a Monday, it must be cancelled 72 hours in advance.

Individual and group classes cancelled more than 24 hours in advance will be made up within 30 days from the date of cancellation and taking into account the availability of the teachers (Monday to Friday and weekends). After this period, the classes will be considered as completed and, therefore, will not be made up or refunded.

Only three classes per month may be made up.

If the individual or group class is cancelled without 24 hours’ notice, it will be considered completed and will be charged in full.

Group classes will only be made up as a group, never individually. If a student is unable to attend their regular group class, this will still be charged. Otherwise, the rates for special groups will be based on the number of students in the group.

All cancellations must be notified to info@mylanguagecoach.net. Cancellations can only be recovered once, therefore, such recovery cannot be cancelled. Otherwise, the recovery will be considered as done.

Transportation (for in-person classes)

Any journey longer than 45 minutes will incur an additional charge of €6 per class. A Starting from zone 2, and for each consecutive zone, an additional 25% will be applied to the price/hour value. Classes held at the School headquarters (C/ Torrent de l’Olla, 47) are excluded from this assumption.

Course regulations

Every My Language Coach student is subject to these regulations.

Course schedules are available between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday/Sunday, depending on the student’s needs and the teacher’s availability.

Duration of vouchers and individual classes

  • 10-hour class vouchers will be given for a maximum of one and a half months from the date of the first scheduled class that is not cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
  • 20-hour class vouchers will be given for a maximum of three months from the date of the first scheduled class that is not cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
  • Vouchers of 30 hours or more will be provided for a maximum of 6 months.

Drop from the course

Group courses will be maintained with a minimum of 4 people. If this minimum is not reached during the first week of the course, My Language Coach will refund the total amount paid to the Center, deducting the amount of the classes received. Once the course has started, the amounts paid will not be refunded (except in the case mentioned above). For a withdrawal to be effective, the student must notify info@mylanguagecoach.net by email before the 25th of the month prior to this withdrawal; otherwise, the student will be considered to have occupied a place and must pay the corresponding fee for the current month.

Important information

Punctuality and regular attendance are essential for the smooth running of classes, so students are required to commit to attending scheduled courses regularly and punctually. Any student who is unable to attend a class must notify info@mylanguagecoach.net with sufficient notice (24 hours’ notice, or 72 hours if the class is scheduled on a Monday).

Minors

In the event that a minor is enrolled in a My Language Coach language course, the parents or guardian who enrolled him/her will be responsible for his/her conduct.

If a minor cannot attend a class, the absence must be reported by the parents or guardian, not by the student.

My Language Coach reserves the right to expel or terminate a student’s enrollment if his/her behavior impedes the learning and concentration of other students. This measure will be taken as a last resort.

Data protection

We remind you that, in accordance with Organic Law 15/1999 of December 13 on the protection of the right to privacy, all your personal data will be recorded in the My Language Coach database internally and for non-commercial purposes for the purpose of managing personal data of students who attend classes organized by the study center. Acceptance of these terms and conditions and internal operating regulations implies your consent to such uses. My Language Coach guarantees that your personal information will not be used by third parties. If you wish to delete or modify your personal data, you can do so by contacting the company’s address or by sending an email to info@mylanguagecoach.net.

Validity of the conditions

All these conditions come into force from 1 September 2016.

With the sole purpose of improving internal management protocols and processes, My Language Coach reserves the right to change, modify or adapt these regulations without prior notice.

Flat rate for group courses

The flat rate covers the same amount each month during the regular course months (September to June), regardless of the number of hours per month.

Students may make up missed sessions throughout the course and in another group of the same type, as long as there is a place and it is previously authorized by the Center’s coordination, at info@mylanguagecoach.net or by WhatsApp 650926098.
